Tour Terms and Conditions

TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF BOOKING ON A MIKE and LIZ READ TOUR
Booking on a tour means that you agree with and fully accept all of the following terms and conditions. This forms the basis of a contract between us and it will be governed by English Law and English Courts. So please read all of the Terms & Conditions and if you have any queries, please raise them before you book.
The appropriate deposit must be paid at the time of booking (see information on each tour) and a booking form must accompany your booking. (A booking form can be sent to you in the post or via email).

Once your booking is confirmed, your deposit will ONLY be returned if the tour fails to attract sufficient numbers to run and is therefore cancelled by Mike Read. Any outstanding balance for the tour is to be paid three calendar months before the start of the tour so that hotels and other services can be booked and, where necessary, paid in advance.

If you cancel up to three calendar months before the start of the tour you will receive a full refund less the original deposit. However, if it is possible to fill your vacated place on the tour, you will receive a full refund.

Please ensure you have travel insurance as the following cancellation fees will apply even if you fall ill between the time of making your booking and the date of the start of a tour:-
If you cancel between 3 and 2 calendar months before the start of the tour you will receive a 50% refund.
Cancellation between 2 and 1 calendar months before the start of the tour you will receive 25% refund.
Cancellation during the final calendar month before the start of the tour means you forfeit the entire tour cost.
Because of the above cancellation fees, I again stress that you should take out travel insurance as early as possible.

As the price of tours has to be calculated well in advance, I reserve the right to add a small surcharge due to increased charges, fuel costs or exchange rate variations for instance.

While these tours are (mostly) easy-going, there may be times when a tour may not be suitable for clients with certain medical conditions or disabilities. If you have any worries about your health or about the kind of terrain we might be walking over, please ensure you ask the appropriate questions before booking on a tour.

The aim of these tours is to provide good wildlife watching, especially birds and flowers, in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Please notify Mike or Liz Read if you have any complaints or concerns. We can only put things right if you tell us at the time. Any complaints concerning the overall running of the tour must be notified to Mike Read within 28 days of the completion of the tour.
