Booking on a tour means that you agree with and fully accept all of the following terms and conditions.  This forms the basis of a contract between us and it will be governed by English Courts and English Law.  So please read all of the Terms and Conditions and if you have any concerns or queries, please raise them before you book.

The appropriate non-refundable deposit must be paid at the time of booking (see information on each tour) and a booking form must accompany each booking (a booking form can be found on another page of the Tours section of my web site or one can be sent to you by email or in the post).  Please send a cheque (payable to Mike Read) to the address on the booking form.

Once your booking is confirmed, your deposit will ONLY be returned if the tour fails to attract sufficient numbers to run and is therefore cancelled by Mike Read.  Any outstanding balance for the tour is to be paid three calendar months before the start of the tour so that hotels and other services can be booked and, where necessary, paid in advance.  If you cancel before three calendar months before the start of the tour you receive a full refund less the original deposit.  However, if it is possible to fill your vacated place(s) on the tour, you will receive a full refund,

Please ensure you have travel insurance as the following cancellation fees will apply even if ou fall ill between the time of making your booking and the date of the start of a tour:-

If you cancel between 3 and 2 calendar months before the start of the tour you will receive a 50% refund of the tour cost.

Cancellation between 2 and 1 calendar months before the start of the tour you will receive a 25% refund of the tour cost.

Cancellation during the final calendar month before the start of the tour means you forfeit the entire tour cost.

Because of the above cancellation fees, I again stress that you should take out travel insurance as early as possible.

As the price of tours has to be calculated well in advance, I reserve the right to add a small surcharge due to increased charges, fuel costs or exchange rate variations or should there be any other unexpected cost increases (due to Brexit for example).

While these tours are (mostly) easy-going, there may be times when a tour may not be suitable for clients with certain medical conditions.  If you have any concerns about your health or about the kind of terrain we might be walking over, please ensure you ask the appropriate questions before booking on a tour.

The aim of my tours is to provide good wildlife watching in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.  Please notify me if you have any complaints or concerns during the tour.  I can only put things right if you tell me at the time.  Any complaints concerning the overall running of the tour must be notified to me within 28 days of completion of the tour.
